Miniature Horse Cart Barrel Racing
The World Championship presented by World Class Miniature
Horse Registry, Inc. (WCMHR) offers miniature horse
racing enthusiast an opportunity to enter racing classes
that involve 2-3 participants
at a time racing around their designated barrel or cone
twice. Each racer has their own cone so there is no
advantage or disadvantage to the particpant's position in
the lineup. The Horse that finishes first is the winner.
The horse's should not break the trot more than twice
during the race. A Championship Race is held for the
first and second place winners of each heat.

"The
Blue Ridge Miniature Harness Racing Club is a non-profit
organization dedicated to the fun and excitement for the
entire family. The American Miniature Horse, long
known for it's ability as a carthorse, has proven to be a
natrual evolution of the harness racing sport.
All of the horses are registered and are 38 inches or
less. They race over a distance of 1/4 mile, at a
trot. There are both adult and youth divisions, and
all ages can participate. We race a three tracks
during the race season, three races at Shallowcreek Downs
in Mount Airy, three races at Bryant Farm in
Taylorsville, and three races at Paisley Downs in
Mooresville. Free addmission with concessions
available. We would like to thank all of our
sponsors for making this year possible for the
club. With your support, we are looking forward to
another fantastic year! Each year the club
purchases a Miniature Horse, and sells raffle tickets on
the horse. The horse in taken to all club events.
The winning ticket is drawn at the October race.
