Resolved,
That it is the sense of this meeting that a club for the promotion of miniature horses thorough the World Class Miniature Horse Registry shall now be formed.

  

Bylaws

Adopted October 16, 2004

Article I. Name.  

The club name shall be Adirondack Miniature Horse Club.

Article II.  Purpose.  The purpose of the club shall be to promote and encourage perpetuation of the miniature horse breed through the World Class Miniature Horse Registry;   to provide showing and exhibition opportunities for its members and others;   to provide educational and promotional activities for miniature horse enthusiasts.

Article III.  Membership.  Membership shall be open to individuals interested in pursuing the purposes of the club. An individual shall attend 2 meetings prior to applying for membership. Such membership shall be approved by the executive board.      Members shall pay annual dues to be set annually by the membership at the annual meeting. Youth membership shall be open to youth under the age of 18.

Article IV.  Officers.  The officers shall be president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and public relations.  Officers shall be elected annually by a majority of the membership present at the November meeting.  Special elections may be held to fill any vacant office.

Article V.  Meetings.  Business meetings shall be held monthly.  The annual meeting shall be the first meeting of the year.  Voting is by member in good standing at present meeting.  Special meetings may be called by the Executive Board from time to time.

Article VI.  Executive Board.  The executive board shall be composed of the officers of the club. The executive board shall have general supervision of the club between business meetings, fix the hour and place of meetings, make recommendations to the club, and perform other duties as specified by these bylaws.  None of the board’s acts shall conflict with any action taken by the club.

Article VII.  Committees.  Special or standing committees shall be appointed by the President or the Executive Board from time to time as deemed necessary to carry on the work of the club.  The President shall be ex officio a member of all committees.

Article VIII.  Parliamentary Authority.  The club shall conduct its business according to Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised in all cases in which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with these bylaws and any special rules of order the club may adopt.

Article IX.  Amendment of Bylaws.  These bylaws may be amended at any regular meeting of the club by a two-thirds vote, provided that the amendment has been submitted in writing at the previous regular meeting.
