Board your horse there and
stay for a vacation. Onsite Food Concession including

Show held in the Auction Barn in the event of rain. 2-minute gate warning
applies to all classes. No refunds or credit for missed classes.
All horses and show ponies must be of show quality without dwarfism, blindness, and lameness. Horses & Show Ponies must be mature for jumping & driving .Owner is responsible.
All announcements at the show take precedence over any previous materials.
Classes may be combined at the Show Manager discretion.. The Judge’s
Decisions are Final. Entry form and waiver of liability required for all
entries. Parent or Legal Guardian must sign waiver for all youths. All rules
and Regulations of World Class Miniature Horse Registry, Inc. and its
representatives and Spring Valley Horse Farm and Cabins, LLC must be followed
at all times. Arrival upon the show grounds constitutes agreement to all terms
of the show. All dogs on leashes and proof of current rabies vaccinations.
Vet on Call. FOOD CONCESSION ONSITE.
Horse Boarding Available. Stay awhile, Fish in 8 stocked ponds on the premises
or visit Smith Mountain Lake, 500 miles of shoreline. ( 6 mi.) or the D Day
Memorial in Bedford.

Youths must be 17 or younger on January 1, 2011
Youths under 12 may not show stallions over 2 yrs. of age. Youths may
not show a Show Pony Stallion.
An Amateur is any adult who has not been
paid in money for training, showing, judging, or for demonstrations.
Announcements at
the show will take precedence over any printed documents.
Hunter Course - Exhibitors and Horse should portray the
appearance of following an actual country course. Jumps may
include a simulated brick wall, hedges, chicken coops, etc. The pace
should be brisk as in a trot or canter, but must maintain
the stride throughout the entire course. Three refusals will result in
elimination. Faults include knockdowns, and circling more
than once. Elimination: Three refusals, fall of horse/and or
exhibitor, being off course, or crossing own path. Knockdowns are
also considered by the Judge when placing the class. Jumps should be 20
feet apart and are usually at a lower height than the
Jumper Course. Hunter jumps will likely be set at 24."
Hunter Classes are for mature horses. Course Walk-thru and
Demonstration before Hunter Classes begin.
Jumper Classes - Jumping Classes are judged on
accumulated faults which include Knockdowns- 4 Faults,
Circle more than once -4 Faults, First
Refusal 4 Faults, Third Refusal Elimination.
If there is a tie of for the first go round, rails will be raised 4" Third
tie, timed jumpoff (jumping the course again) will take place with
those jumpers who tied. The same horse cannot be shown twice in same class
number. Jumper classes are designed for mature horses.
Course Walk thru before Class begins.
Country Pleasure Driving Classes - This event is
judged primarily on the suitability of the horse to provide a relaxed,
pleasurable drive in the countryside. To be shown both ways in the arena
at a WALK, SLOW TROT, and STRONG TROT.
Drivers will then be asked to enter the
center of the ring and line up in a row. Headers (Adult to stand in
front of the Horse)
may enter the ring at lineup. Each Driver will then be asked to
reign back (Back up). Clothing should be relevant to the drive,
women generally select a long skirt or dress, and a hat and men a jacket and
a hat, western or a sports coat and hat. Driving Classes
are for mature horses.
Race - There will be 3 Separate Lanes for each race with
each Driver having their own lane. There will be cone or
other
object at each end of the lane and the object is to circle to object twice
with a steady trot. The second break in trot will
result in elimination. The first horse to cross the finish line without
breaking a trot more than once will be declared the winner.
Additional races may be required to determine Champions if entries are
greater than 3 racers at a time for the Class.
Helmets are advised for all and are required for youths. Racing
Classes are for mature horses.
Roadster - Drivers enter the ring clockwise and turn and
reverse when asked by the Judge. Drivers stay on the rail at
all times unless passing on the outside. Vehicle may be of any type,
usually, a two-wheeled vehicle without a basket and
stirrups for the feet. The principal gaitis TROT, (Slow, Fast,
and Faster) the SLOW JOG TROT, and the faster ROAD GAIT
and then the full extended DRIVE ON TROT. If a horse that has
demonstrated the three gaits should suddenly break
the trot, the horse will not be penalized.
A horse that has NOT demonstrated the THREE GAITS should NOT be placed
over a horse who has demonstrated
the three gaits successfully. Adult Headers are required at
lineup. The Drivers will not be asked to reign back.
Roadster Classes are for mature horses. An Adult Riders may
accompany Entry Level Adults and Youths.
Any interference or verbal instruction to the Driver will result in
elimination.
