Results from the 2004 WCMHR World Championship

August 7-8, 2004

Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center in Williamston, NC
Thanks to all of the particpants and sponsors, this was the biggest show ever!
We would especially like to thank Jackie Crockett Hooks who conducted the Show Clinic,
Joe, Lynne, and Courtney Pine who provided an incredible Barbecue Dinner on Saturday evening for all of the participants.  Joe even became an extra Ringmaster when needed and did a great job!  Alison and Mike King of Briarwood Minis along with Panera Bread of North Carolina, who provided a fantastic Panera Bread Breakfast on Sunday morning. Everyone loved the variety of bagels, sweet rolls, and fresh coffee.
Due to the enormous participation of this year's show, next year will be at least a 3-day show!

There will be a Welcome Party the evening before the show for all participants to celebrate the
Tenth Annual WCMHR World Championship!
Sandy Croote of Due Process Stable has already presented WCMHR with a check of $250 to be used for the 2005 show in any way that WCMHR chooses, and the funds will be used towards the Welcome Party.

The generosity and support of WCMHR members is overhelming and the Registry and show particpants are extremely grateful!

2004 King: John Eckbold                      2004 Queen:  Courtney Pine
The King and Queen were selected from the youth show participants based upon their attitude and participation throughout the show.  All youths in the show entered the ring to be presented with a trophy.  Each boy was a Prince and each girl,  a Princess.  The youths are such a wonderful part of the show and everyone enjoys watching their sense of competition and fairness.

Congratulations to Rebecca Rainey of Double F Farm who was the winner of the Mini Express Driving Award Harness.  The Harness was to be awarded to the first-year entry-level driving exhibitor.  Rebecca and her horse, "Lil Bit of Chester," drove like pros in every driving event, including racing!  This was the first show in which Rebecca had driven and the first show for "Lil Bit of Chester!"
